There's been no official news on which ships will be up for sale, but the general consensus is that it will be all non-quantity limited ships, so that ought to include the Retaliator...I guess we'll know more on Friday.

I'm feeling the love for this vehicle!   Tbh I don't care what it looks like, I'd be getting one based on the text description of its role, but it sure is a nice bonus that it looks sweet too!

That's lovely. I'm really keen on the Carrack but I need decent cargo capacity, I can't bare to have a small cargo hold and be restricted to having the money to invest in a lot of cargo that I cannot shift. That's my bug bare with Elite, the cash in the bank but not enough hold space to spend it.

I'm ebbing towards the Connie (or may have ebbed!), which will be rather customisable so Andromeda will be a perfect start and it can be Aguila'd as and when required.

I'm wondering what the benefit of the Carrack over the Constellation is? Seems the Carrack is like the Constellation except you have to leave anything you find behind.

I think it's a case of seeing what happens. Stats are suggesting that is has more cargo space than Connie. But yes it's far less modular.

It may have more cargo space but how much does the rover take up?  Is it like the Cutlus blue 120 units which has just a little bit less than the Freelancer but in real terms only 30 units for actual cargo with the cells in.

Not on the ship comparison. 1100 (Connie Andromeda or Aguila) vs 280 (Freelancer MAX) vs 250 (Carrack)

Indeed, so unless the Carrack is simply a glorified mapping ship I don't see the appeal. I'm sure that RSI will have designed the Carrack with certain unique features but from the description it's not yet obvious to me.

I can't understand why basic size and major spec info doesn't get set because these stats really influence people's choices.

If the Carrack is larger in terms of hold space then the Connie then I will be really annoyed now I made a choice.

I've stopped reading the main spec page. You're totally right. It's bloody irritating not least of all because it's not a little bit of money were talking about.

EDIT: And yes, I know 'we shouldn't be backing if we can't afford it'. I get that - I really do. And I wouldn't be doing if I couldn't afford it. Its just that You would expect that information that is released should be accurate before they're backing it up with interviews/word-of-mouth.
